How to Get There +
Messukeskus Helsinki is easily accessible. Helsinki Airport (HEL) is the nearest major airport, approximately a 30-minute train ride away. From Helsinki Airport train station, take the I or P train towards Helsinki Central Railway Station. From Helsinki Central, transfer to tram number 7 or light rail number 9 towards Länsi-Pasila/Hornankallio, and alight at the 'Messukeskus' stop, which is right next to the venue. Taxis and ride-sharing services are also readily available from the airport and throughout the city.
City Guide: Helsinki +
Expected weather in December: -4-0°C (25-32°F), 80-90% humidity
For convenient access to Messukeskus Helsinki, consider staying in the Pasila district, which is directly adjacent to the venue and well-connected. Alternatively, the city center neighborhoods of Kallio or Töölö offer a more urban vibe with excellent public transport links. These areas provide a good base for exploring Helsinki's design scene and cultural offerings.
When hunger strikes, explore the vibrant food halls like Halli or Old Market Hall for a diverse range of Finnish delicacies and international flavors. For a taste of modern Finnish cuisine, look for restaurants in Kallio or around the Kamppi area, known for their innovative dishes and cozy atmospheres. Casual cafes are plentiful for a quick coffee and pastry, perfect for refueling between race preparations.

What your training plan covers
A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.
Pure Running
Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.
Functional Station Training
Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.
Compromised Running
The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.
"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
