How to Get There +
The nearest major airport to Bordeaux is Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD), approximately a 30-40 minute taxi or ride-share to the venue. From the city center, take Tram Line C towards 'Parc des Expositions' and alight at the 'Cr Jules Ladoumegue' stop, which is a short walk from the venue. If arriving by train at Bordeaux Saint-Jean station, you can connect directly to Tram Line C from the station's public transport hub. Limited parking may be available at the venue, but public transport is highly recommended due to expected race day congestion.
City Guide: Bordeaux +
Expected weather in September: 10-20°C (50-68°F), 70-80% humidity
For convenient accommodation near the Cr Jules Ladoumegue venue, consider staying in the northern Bordeaux districts, such as the Chartrons or Grand Parc areas. These neighborhoods offer a good selection of hotels and apartments, often within easy reach of the race site. When it comes to dining, Bordeaux is a gastronomic paradise. Explore the city center for traditional bistros serving classic French fare like confit de canard and steak frites. For a more refined experience, many restaurants in the Saint-Pierre district offer modern interpretations of regional specialties. Don't miss the opportunity to sample local delicacies and, of course, the world-famous Bordeaux wines. Numerous boulangeries will also be perfect for grabbing a quick and delicious pastry before or after your race.

What your training plan covers
A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.
Pure Running
Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.
Functional Station Training
Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.
Compromised Running
The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.
"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
