How to Get There +
Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN) is the nearest airport, approximately a 25-30 minute drive to AmberExpo. From the airport, you can take a taxi or ride-share service directly to the venue. Public transport options include taking the SKM train (S2 line) from the airport station towards Gdańsk Główny and then transferring to a tram or bus heading towards AmberExpo. The closest tram stop to AmberExpo is usually 'Hucisko' or 'Wały Jagiellońskie', requiring a short walk to the venue. Check local public transport schedules for the most efficient route on race day.
City Guide: Gdańsk +
Expected weather in October: 7-13°C (45-55°F), 75-85% humidity
When you arrive in Gdańsk for HYROX, consider staying in neighborhoods like Wrzeszcz or Oliwa. These areas offer good access to public transport and a variety of accommodation options, placing you within a reasonable distance of the AmberExpo venue. For dining, explore the charming streets of the Old Town for traditional Polish cuisine – look for pierogi and hearty stews. If you're seeking something closer to the venue and a more modern culinary scene, check out restaurants in the Wrzeszcz district. Many establishments offer a range of international and local dishes, perfect for refueling after your training or race day. Don't miss the chance to try some fresh seafood, a local specialty given Gdańsk's coastal location.

What your training plan covers
A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.
Pure Running
Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.
Functional Station Training
Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.
Compromised Running
The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.
"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
