Patches, the Bag, and a New Way to Tell Your Race Story

A finish time is a number. Your race was not. Months of training, the lap you almost walked, the wall balls that nearly broke you, none of it fits in a screenshot, and a screenshot is all you had to share.

We think your race deserves more than that. So we built three new things that work together: patches you earn, a bag to keep them in, and a story editor to show them off.

Patches: what you earn

Patches are small badges tied to real things you did. Six families to start:

• Championship for the big stage
• City for the race location
• Speed for the times you hit
• Pro and Open for your division
• And more on the way

Each one is earned, not bought. They are the vocabulary of your race history, a way to mark what mattered without writing a paragraph about it. A rookie who survived their first Open race and a veteran chasing a podium tell completely different stories, and now they have the symbols to do it.

The Bag: your collection

Every patch you earn lives in your bag. Think of it as the trophy shelf for the app era, except it travels with you and grows with every race you finish.

Your bag is personal. Two athletes who both ran HYROX London this season will have overlapping bags but never identical ones, because the patches you collect map to the races you ran, the splits you hit, and the milestones you crossed. Open the bag a year from now and you are looking at your season, all in one place.

Putting it together

The story editor is how you actually show this off. Drop a race photo in, pull patches from your bag, place them where they belong. In a minute you have a result that looks like the race felt, not a screenshot that gets lost in the feed.
