The Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center is accessible via public transport. Take Metro Line 8 to the China Art Museum station, which is a short walk from the venue. Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available throughout the city and offer a convenient way to reach the venue, especially if traveling with gear. Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) is the closest major airport, with travel time to the venue typically ranging from 45-60 minutes by taxi or ride-share depending on traffic.
City Guide: Shanghai +
Expected weather in October: 15-22°C (59-72°F), 70-80% humidity
For athletes competing in HYROX Shanghai, staying in the Pudong New Area offers excellent proximity to the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. Consider hotels around the Lujiazui financial district for upscale options or areas closer to the venue for convenience. When it comes to dining, Pudong boasts a vast array of culinary experiences. For authentic Chinese cuisine, explore local eateries in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park area, which often feature regional specialties. If you're seeking international flavors or fine dining, the malls and hotels in Lujiazui offer world-class restaurants. Don't miss the opportunity to try some local Shanghainese dishes like Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) or Hong Shao Rou (braised pork belly) at a reputable restaurant in the vicinity.

What your training plan covers
A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.
Pure Running
Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.
Functional Station Training
Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.
Compromised Running
The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.
"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
