City Guide: La Nucía +

Expected weather in October: 14-20°C (57-68°F), 70-80% humidity

For athletes traveling to La Nucía, securing accommodation near the Combat Sport Center is key. Look for stays in or around the urbanizations close to the sports complex, which will minimize your travel time on race day. The nearby town of Benidorm, though more tourist-focused, offers a wider range of hotels and apartments and is a short drive away.

When it comes to dining, La Nucía and its surroundings offer a taste of authentic Spanish cuisine. Explore local 'mesones' and 'tapas bars' for traditional dishes like paella, fresh seafood, and cured meats. For a more casual bite, you'll find plenty of cafes and bakeries offering pastries and sandwiches. Consider trying some of the local Alicante wines to complement your meals.

What your training plan covers

A HYATLON race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.

Pure Running

Running makes up more than 50% of a HYATLON race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 6 km of running.

Functional Station Training

Targeted strength and conditioning for the 6 HYATLON stations. SkiErg, sled push, burpee broad jumps, rowing, sandbag lunges, and wall balls.

Compromised Running

The true separator in HYATLON. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.

"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for hybrid racing, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
