How to Get There +

The venue, Complejo Deportivo Municipal Mar Bella, is easily accessible. From Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN), take the Aerobús to Plaça Catalunya, then switch to the Metro L4 (Yellow Line) towards La Pau and alight at the 'Selva de Mar' station. From 'Selva de Mar', it's a short walk to the venue. Alternatively, taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available from the airport and throughout the city. Limited parking may be available at the venue, but public transport is recommended for ease of access on race weekend.

For accommodation, consider staying in the El Poblenou district, which is adjacent to the venue and offers a mix of modern hotels and apartments, often with good sea views. Alternatively, the Vila Olímpica neighborhood provides easy access and a lively feel. When hunger strikes, explore the numerous tapas bars and restaurants in El Poblenou. Look for places serving fresh seafood and traditional Catalan dishes like 'pa amb tomàquet' (bread with tomato) and 'crema catalana' for dessert. What your training plan covers

A DEKA race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.

Pure Running

Running makes up more than 50% of a DEKA race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 10 km of running.

Functional Station Training

Targeted strength and conditioning for the 10 DEKA stations. SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls.

Compromised Running

The true separator in DEKA. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.
